General Information 2010
Thank you for your interest in the Apostolic Pastoral Association (APA), a registered College of Pentecostal Bishops, Priests, Pastors and other Clergy in the United Kingdom. Our staff have been working for over 15 years providing specialized mentoring, training and continuing professional development for Christian Ministry & Missions; including Ordination & Ministerial Accreditation. APA training is mainly for Black and other Minority Ethnic Church Leaders in the UK and Europe and those who work with them or have significant BAME presence in their congregations.
We offer structured/academic and informal training for ministry advancement. Courses are from the entry level of the Pastorate or Priesthood, to the Episcopal offices of the Presiding Bishop or General Overseer, according to your needs.
We offer you inspiring experiences, informed discussion and choices in expressing an effective praxis for your mission, its enculturation and indigenisation, with special insights to ministries formed in the “southern hemisphere” and entering the northern urban context.
The training process is also intended to help translate true ministry into higher levels of local and international recognition, as well as imparting an Apostolic anointing and a greater ability to contend for the Christian faith in the contemporary Western society.
Our training, conducted through St Hadrian’s College Manchester, England often supplements the more traditional academic training of some other institutions. Our affordable courses combine Practical Theology with career development through covenant relationships, mentoring and apprenticeships. Our graduating candidates are ordained at a Eucharistic Service of Celebration, Ordination and Licensing, held at Manchester Cathedral.
At St Hadrian’s College you will receive a deeper appreciation of Apostolic teaching and traditions from the foundations of Christianity; and support to develop your own particular ministry articulation and Apostolic impartation, into a real modern relevance. We offer you specific information about, and connection to Apostolic Continuity through authentic and verifiable “Spiritual Lineages” and heritages.
Our training is Apostolic in the geographical, jurisdictional, historical and prophetic realms; helping you in crafting a contemporary, Biblically Orthodox Christian Ministry.
Our members are also offered opportunities for strategic networking, participation in organized ecumenical interactions and also take part in city/nation-wide and international evangelistic or revival events.
The APA training provides you with links into the mainstream of European church life, through our close working relationship with the historic churches; our corporate representation in Greater Manchester Churches Together, and the National Reference Group of the Minority Ethnic Christian Affairs of Churches Together in England etc.
We are a non-denominational educational project. You can join us as an Associate Member and enjoy many of these benefits without needing to be ordained by the APA.
